In response to your inquiry regarding the Baughman family OH to IA, I have the following information regarding what I believe to be is my family history known thus far. I'm still searching for more details.
My mother, Norma Lee Baughman Harl, was the daughter of Harlan Tracy Baughman. Born in Davis County IA in 1911. He is the son of James David Baughman b 1864 in Davis County IA. James D. was the son of David M Baughman b1828 in Wayne County OH. We belive David M to be the son of a D. Baughman and Anna Graber b. 1791 in Switzerland. Anna came to Davis County IA with her son David M. No one in the family can ever remember her speaking of her husband. I'm stuck and would really like to find out more about this mysterious D. Baughman.
Not sure that this helps you any. But it is a start. My daughter Heather (who replyed earlier) and I are very interested in tracing the family tree.
