Know all men by these presents that I Rachel Baugh of Powhattan County, for and in Consideration of the pure good will and affection which I have and do bear unto my Nephews, Daniel Hatcher and Seth Hatcher, both sons of Josiah Hatcher dec'd., hath thought proper by these presents to give unto my said Nephews Daniel Hatcher and Seth Hatcher all the negroe slaves which I do now possess, or may hereafter possess. The negroes are now as followeth, to wit, Old June, Old Bess, Jack, Agg Cate, young Jenne, Asar, Dinia, Arney, Betty, Nancy, James, Jacob, Chloe, Stephan, Frank, Hannah, Tom, Sall and John and all their increase to be divided in the following manner after my Decease first I desire that Seth Hatcher may have his choice of any two of my said negroes that he may think proper, then Daniel Hatcher to take next choice of one other of the aforesaid mentioned negroes afterwards I desire that the said Daniel Hatcher and Seth Hatcher may equally divide the whole of my negroes and their increase share and share alike as they may think proper hereafter to divide.
In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my seal this 10th day of January One Thousand seven hundred and eight five.
