Hi Merle,
I still think that Bartles and his son Adam are in our lineage. I have been studying Frank Deis thesis "Baugh in Pulaski Co. KY." I don't know if you have read this or not but whichever, please tell me what you think.
*BARTLES BACH has a son *HANS ADAM BACH b Dec 2, 1719
They came over on the Ship Friendship in 1738.
Look at Adam's will and see if it correlates with this:
This is all per Frank Deis:
Adam Bach's children
1. Adam Jr. b ca. 1741
2. Katharine Stiffy (Anna Catarina) b Nov 12, 1744
3. Barbara Hoover b ca. 1747
4. Michael (John Michael) b May 21, 1753
5. *JACOB BACH b ca 1756 (Frank states: we had an exact date of Oct 19, 1752 for Jacob. This has to be wrong because it is seven months before Michael's birth date. His pension application stated that he was "born in Penn. Oct 19, year not recollected" and that he was "about 81" in Sept. 1833)
6. George born ca. 1758
7. Elizabeth (Anna Elizabetha) b 14 July 1760
8. Henry ben Apr 12, 1762 (no church record - date on stone and in family records)
9.Mary = Anna Maria born Apr 4, 1765 (married Martin Miller)
Now the reason that we can't find Abraham's father is because we are looking in Virginia and he moved to Pulaski County Kentucky. What Frank says is that "JACOB, WIFE BARBARA was in the area which is now Wythe County, VA from 1774 to 1812 and then he moved to Pulaski County KY following his younger brother, Henry. Frank wrote that Jacob's family appears rather rarely in conventional records such as church books or wills, and thus his children have been assigned on the basis of educated guesswork.
Jacob's children:
1. Esther Baugh who married Henry Vaught Sr. in Wythe Co. VA in 1795
2. *ADAM BAUGH: He married MAGDALENA (Wolfe) and was the father of Jacob b. 1798 and *ABRAHAM b.1801 (KCH).
Other presumed sons included:
3. Jacob Jr (b 1780?) who married Eleanor Ware
4. Gasper/Casper (b. 1793?) who married Dorcas Nicholson and then Barbara Reed
5. Henry (b.1793?) who married Susannah Derham and/or Delilah Eade
6. John (b. 1802?)who married Sarah (Sally) Williams
Thes sons (#3-6) lived in Pulaski Co, KY, except John who moved to Lincoln Co. KY.
From what I have read from your records and from what you wrote to me on the forum under George Alexander Baugh, I understand that:

at least one son:
MICHAEL BAUGH b. December 21, 1823
Does this sound more accurate? Do you see any discrepancies here?
