I, too, am researching a Bartlett Baugh from Virginia. I don't know
his birth date, but I do know (think, rather):

- he spent about 20 years in Campbell Co., VA
- he had several sons, including John (my ggg grandfather), Richard,
and Thomas
- he bought about 500 acres of land on Falling River near Red Hill,
Patrick Henry's plantation, about a year before Henry retired there.

Despite the amount of his land and proximity to Henry (in time and
place), Bartlett is an enigma ... he seems to have no origin, and then
simply disappears from Virginia. I'm including relevant excerpts from
various Campbell County records, if there's any interest.

Thanks,
John Baugh (jwb@eos.ncsu.edu, http://www.ce.ncsu.edu/faculty/baugh)
