I, too, am researching a Bartlett Baugh from Virginia. I don't know his birth date, but I do know (think, rather): - he spent about 20 years in Campbell Co., VA - he had several sons, including John (my ggg grandfather), Richard, and Thomas - he bought about 500 acres of land on Falling River near Red Hill, Patrick Henry's plantation, about a year before Henry retired there. Despite the amount of his land and proximity to Henry (in time and place), Bartlett is an enigma ... he seems to have no origin, and then simply disappears from Virginia. I'm including relevant excerpts from various Campbell County records, if there's any interest. February 1807. (15: 280) On the motion of Bartlett Baugh an injunction is granted him to stay the proceedings on a judgement obtained against him in this court by James and John McReynolds who filed his bill made oath thereto and leave is given him to give bond and security in the clerk's office.
