Major Breakthrough on Baugh/Wauchope?

In Black's 'Surnames of Scotland' (which I just purchased) I came across an extremely interesting entry... Bauchop, Bauchope, Bachop. Black stated that the name is believed to be a corruption of Wauchope, and found mostly around the area between Stirling and Edinburgh. Alternate spellings found over time are Bawchok, Bauhok, Banchope, and Bawchope. One of the earliest spellings on record was from Falkirk and was... Bauk. That sure reminds me of another name... Baa/Baugh of Bahais, Normandy, France.
