Bahais was only 30 miles from the powerhouse castle of Brix, origin of the Scottish Brus/Bruce family -- as in King Robert the Bruce. The shield of the castleward consisted of three stars. All three Baa/Baugh shields from England I have seen have three stars. Given this similarity, I would guess the Baa/Baugh family were at least feudal tenants of the Brus family in Normandy.
