In further support of what I found, I just noticed the following:

Scottish Gaelic, bàgh = bay
French, cal = bay/cove (whence comes Calais, Normandy, France)

Ta Da...
Romance (root of French, Italian, Spanish, etc.), baja = bay (whence comes Bahais, Normandy, France???)
