Kay, For some reason I was unable to post a followup to your Message of April 4, which I paste in here below. In answer to your question, I believe Thomas Wash is probably my ARchibald Bolling (known by friends as Bolling) Baugh's wife Caroline Wash's brother, both children of Lipscomb Wash. I believe that Lipscomb was living with Bolling and Caroline in 1830 in Amelia Co, according to census information. Lipscomb's father's name was Thomas Wash, wife Mary Lipscomb, so it makes sense that one of the children was named after him. Other children we have pieced together include another daughter, Mariah Goode Wash, another son Samuel H. Wash (probably Samuel Hyde Wash) who would be named after Elizabeth Saunders' (Lipscomb's wife)grandparents...John Hyde Saunders, Jr. and Samuel Bentley. It would make sense, that your Martin would sell land to Thomas. And no I haven't found any new information on Titus Cricher. I am curious about Hannah's estate administration. I haven't seen that. Do you have dates, other names of people involved, etc.? Janet Kay your message: Hi Janet, Do you know who Thomas Wash was? In Edna's post #704 she says that he purchased land from Martin (Creacher's son) and Rebekah (Creacher's widow). This land was her dower and what Martin had purchased from his two sisters Martha and Ann. Is it possible that any of this could have been "Cathole"? Also, I haven't been able to find anything on Titus Critcher except where Hannah was to handle estate. (Don't even know where I found that right now) Can't find any connection to the Martin family yet either. How about you? Kay
