I know that I am six years too late in replying to this message, but it's worth a try. My great grandmother, Katherine Bauer (Bower/Bowers) was the daughter of Susan Mary Burkart and Jacob Bauer. I know that they lived in New York since Katherine was born in Kings County (now Brooklyn). Both Susan and Jacob died in Newton County Indiana. If you receive this message, please contact me. Katherine married John Datzman in Illinois.
