I'm not sure of any connections, but I was born in Mannhof, Germany,on May 4, 1952; was adopted by an American family in Nov 1953. My birth mother/father are named Willy & Maria Bauer.We lived in Mannhof, he was a toolmaker; was put in an orphange(do not know the name of it) there until my adoption. I am starting to search for any birth family that might still be over there. I'm not real sure where to begin. I was told I have 9 brothers/sister somewhere. My husband & I are planning a trip over there next Oct and would like to see some of the places where I grew up until I was 7. If you have any suggestions, I would love to hear about them. Like, any English speaking placesto look for birth records, maps, etc.
