At a dead end finding ggrandmother Sophia Bauer. She married John Brill. The story goes they were german coming from Russia. They ended up in Oregon (Portland?). I am told they had up to 13 children. Some of them are: Katherine (Katya), Anna (m. George Madden), Marie b. 1886 (my grandmother), George, William b.1888, Edward?, and Babe?
