Hello. Unfortunately I have no info on John Bauer, but I wonder if our lines may cross somewhere else. My great grandmother was Marie Bauers 1898 - 1963(and was from Pottstown there is an "s" on the end), her father was Edward Peter Bauers 03 Aug 1876 and he married Emma Simmers, in addition to Marie they had the following children Harold, Charles, Ethel, George and Thomas. Edwards mother was Rose born about 1852 and both of her parents were from Germany. Not sure if they match up at all but I figured it was worth a shot.
