Joseph Thomas Baucom Sr's wife was named Sarah. Joseph Thomas Baucom (Toms) wife was also named Sarah.
The latter was Sarah Ann Griffin Baucom. I know that she was called "Salley" because I have an original letter written from Tom to his father and mother which mentions "Salley" as his wife and their baby, dated December 16, 1886.

This does not say that there was not ALSO a Sally/Sarah that might have been a daughter of Lewis, but these two Salley/Sarah names are proven, and I give this information to help people not to confuse these two Sarahs with other possible Sarahs.

I have an aunt and a cousin still living both named Sarah, also born Baucoms though now married, so this name has been used and honored often in the Baucom family to this day, possibly beginning with Nicholas's second wife in the 1700's.

I am a descendant of Toms (Joseph Thomas Baucom Jr.) and Joseph
Thomas Baucom Sr mentioned above.
