Hi Marietta,
This is what I have on Tolliver R. Baucom of Spartanburg Co, SC...........
Tolliver R. was born 1850 d. March 22, 1932 in South Carolina, the son of Berry Baucom and
Martha (Unknown). Tolliver married Nancy Sereny Stephens b.September 19, 1863 d. August 16,
1912 and had children: Hardy (Harden), Bessie, Adger Smyth, Arvin Jasper, Airies is Arree
Casper and Essie and Annie b.August 28, 1885, d. July 09, 1887.
Hardy married Della Thompson and had children: Arbie, Mannie (Mamie) and Lillie M.(Lillian
Mae)and William Grady "Willie" and an infant d. August 28, 1915
Bessie married Oscar M McKinney 8 children
Adger Smyth married Lonnie Brown 4 children
Arvin Jasper married Clara Knighton 2 children that I know of
Arree Casper married Marie Brown 7 children
Essie married Walter Judson Owings 3 children
Arree is my grandfather. He is listed in the 1930 census as Robert E Balcomb
and a different year...don't remember which one as Airies.
I have a lot more.
I am also trying to figure out brothers and sisters of Tolliver R. He had one named William
that spelled his name Balcomb in the 1880 census but his name on his tombstone is spelled
Baughcome. He had another named Loren. on his tombstone it is spelled Balcombe but his
children spelled theirs Balcome. Tolliver R had a sister named Lula, she married Calvin
Cooper. I would like to know what the R stands for
I would appreciate anything that you might be able to add to this line and let me know if I
can be of any further help.
