I finally got it! Merry Bowline, who married Jasper Baucom, had parents Blevins Bowline and Susan Garland. (I also saw it GArdiner once) Well, I am told, that blev, was brother to William, as in William and Phoebe. I just got this info., from my uncle's wife in Oklahoma. She's been asking my grandmother these questions for 45 years. So she got firsthand who her mother's parents were, which supports what my grandma's oldest sister told me, that her grandma's name was Susan. And I heard the name Blev as a kid. Never once heard about William and Phoebe. YAY! Maybe William and Phoebe had a Mary too, but not married to Jasper.
