I have a maternal great grandfather, Joseph Baty, b.1837, Dilston, Northumberland, m.Elizabeth ? around 1870 and had 7 daughters, one of them my grandmother. At the 1871 census they were in Woodside Farm at Moor House, a hamlet near West Rainton. Some of the daughters' births were registered in Rainton and nearby Houghton-le-spring. These places are a few miles from Hetton-le-hole. My family are from the same area of Durham.
I haven't come across any connection with Hetton-le-hole but this may help?
John Batey (names are as written)
