Thanks, Jack! This fills in several things for me and I certainly appreciate it!

One of the things we've been trying to substantiate for some time is our possible Indian heritage; my paternal grandmother's family has claimed Chickasaw heritage and there has also been a mention of Cherokee through this (my paternal grandfather) side of the family. I have yet to find anything that would prove or disprove either; do you know anything about Elizabeth's family? I am starting to think that the family has "romanticized" the Indian connection for many years, as nothing I've found so far would remotely support it on either side.
