Has anyone on this forum found a link between the Battle family and the Mayfield family? I would imagine this has been asked before but I could not find a message concerning this info. My Mayfield line has several men with either first or second name Battle. The first Battle Mayfield I am aware of was born 1778. Other Mayfield researchers and I have wondered if the name Battle was the maiden name of a mother or grandmother. My particular line is the only line that carries this name down and it is unusual for a first or second name. Any help would be greatly accepted.
