I am doing researh on the Crudup's a Josiah Crudup Sr. born 1746 in Edgecombe Co., NC died 1819 and he married an Elizabeth Battle born 1747 in Edgecombe Co., NC died 1819. She is the daughter of Elisha Battle and Elizabeth Sumner of Nansemond, VA. Elisha Battle is the son of Willliam Battle who married Sarah Hunter.

Edgecombe Co., NC is surrounded by Halifax Co (north), Martin Co, (east), Pitt and Greene Co, (south) and Nash Co, (west). Tarboro is in Edgecombe Co. NC. I hope I've helped you.
