I have on loan a record of decscendants of Isaac Ross and Jean Brown and Allied Families compiled by Anne Mims Wright and published 1911 in Jackson Ms. The book is on loan to me by an elderly lady who's husband has passed on. She didn't know a lot about his ancestery, other than he was connected with the Battle family and he had the Battle Coat-of-Arms. Now, I can't find anything about the Battles' in this book, but anyone out there looking for info on allied families - Alexander, Conger, Harris, Hill, King, Killingsworth, Mackey, Moores, Sims, Wade, Etc. can contact me. This is a wonderful source of information. The book is full of pictures, letters and excerpts from diarys.
