What is your Battle line? John Randolph Battle was born 9 Oct 1877 in Decatur Co., GA, and died 21 Nov 1927 in Montgomery, AL. He married Adelaide Hearn 9 Nov 1909 in Savannah, GA; they had Hilton Lafayette Battle and Virdie Catherine Battle. John Randolph Battle was a son of Marcus Lafayette Battle and his third wife, Nancy Catherine Thomas. The line from John Battle goes as follows: John (m. Elizabeth ___) - William (m. Sarah Hunter) - John (m. Sarah Brown) - Jesse (m. Susanna Faucette) - William Sumner (m. Sarah Whitehead) - Joseph John (m. Rhoda Henrietta Whitehead) - Arthur W. (m. Louisa Middleton) - Marcus Lafayette (m. Nancy Catherine Thomas) - John Randolph Battle.
