Catherine Battle was born in England on April 2, 1875. Her father's name was Hugh Battle. She had a sister named Anna. She married Thomas Jennings on December 5, 1889, when she was 14. They had 13 children. One of our children was Catherine (nee Jennings) McDonough. Catherine's birth certificate states her mother was 33 when she was born on January 9, 1908. She died on August 10, 1950, in Philadelphia, PA. An obituary from the Philadelphia Inquirer newspaper in Philadelphia dated August 15, 1950, stated she died on August 10, 1950. Her relatives and friends were invited to attend her funeral on Wednesday, August 16, 1950, from her residence at 3062 Swanson Street in Philadelphia, PA. A High Mass was to be held at Saint
Hugh's Church at 10:00 AM that day and later that day she was buried at the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery. She in cemetery 5, Section 5, Range 7, Lot 14, Grave 1 along side of her husband, Thomas Jennings.
