I just wanted to add this:
Watson Battle is listed in the 1830 Federal Census of Haywood County, NC. p.379. Household had one male age 20-30, one female age 20-30, 1 female age 5-10, and 2 females age 0-5. I can't find him in the 1840 Census for Haywood Co.
