My BATTLE line begins with Angelica BATTLE, b. 15 Feb 1759, in Albemarle Parish, Surry, Virginia; married Mumford WILLSON, 26 Sep 1778 in Lincoln county, North Carolina; daughter of John BATTLE, b. 1715 in Virginia; married to Sarah CAPELL in 1748 in Surry county, Virginia, d. 5 Dec 1776. John was the son of John BATTLE, b. 1689/1690 in Surry county, Virginia; married to Mary WARDEN abt 1720 in Surry county Virginia. John was the son of John BATTLE, b. Jul 1660 in Surry county, Virginia; married to Margaret SOWERSBY on 1 Jul 1684. John was the son of Matthew BATTLE. Of course all of this is very familiar to you and well documented by others. I am most interested about Angelica BATTLE, her husband, Mumford and their children. If you have any information about them, I would be very interested.
