my ggrandfathers name was william alfred battey he was married to lillian yellops they had four children:
irene battey
terance battey
dennis battey
cyril battey

william alfred battey died in prison and lillian ran off to live in london taking only dennis and irene with her and leaving the others in an orphanage.

please if you have any information on irene battey or any of this battey familiy please contact me as soon as possible.
