In "Downeast Ancestry" October 1986 Volume 10 Number 3 there is four page article that is titled "Bought At Auction"
"Bible Yields Data On Family of Josiah and Nancy Merrow"
The article states that the bible was printed in 1822 and embossed on the spine was HOLY BIBLE - Josiah and Nancy Merrow.
Their marriage was November 9th 1817. The marriage of Josiah Merrow and Nancy Batten.
Josiah is listed as born Sunday August 17, 1794, died August 15, 1887.
Nancy (Batten) Merrow is listed as being born Thursday February 12, 1795 and died December 1, 1888.
