C.Edmund Batten's(B: Dec. 25, 1896, D:July 7, 1966 in San Diego, CA) first wife was my mother Lucille Opal Langworthy Batten (b:Nov. 9, 1899, d:Dec. 29, 1949 in San Diego, CA). Second wife happened in 1950's, I believe, and ended, shortly thereafter, in dvorce in San Diego, CA.
Batten Line down from Thomas Erasmus(?) Batten:
Thomas E. Batten and Nancy Ida (Nanna) Stanley gave birth to Orville Stanley, Esther, and C. Edmund. Possible two other children passed away. C. Edmund's birth certificate indicates that Thomas E. and Nanna were both born in Ackworth, Ia. Indiannola is next door. All in Warren county.
Orville Batten and Ann Cook gave birth to Velma Arlene, Eugene Victor (Dec.WWII), Barbara Joanne(dec.), & Edmund Stanley. Anne Cook (mother of all above) was first of three wives of Orville; others were Helen and Minnie. Mouraine, your info is correct.
Edmund Stanley and Joyce Hertzberg gave birth to Brenda Joanne, Bruce Eric, Jenny Anne.
Esther Batten and Chester Morris married and adopted Jean - Lived in Morristown, Ia. about 1960's.
C. Edmund Batten and Lucille Opal gave birth to Robert Langworthy Batten June 22, 1928. Robert L. and Mary Elizabeth Batten (Sikes)gave birth to Kathleen Lucille 1957, Pamela Christine 1961, and James Paul 1964.

and Thomas Frederick.
Pamela and Thomas Graves gave birth to Kelly Ann and Colleen. Pamela and second husband Jerry Branger gave birth to Delaney.
James and Julie gave birth to Jacob Palani, Jan. 17, 2005, continuing the immediate Batten line.
I hope to fill in birth, death, marriage dates as I go along.
