Guiseppina and Celia (probably Cecilia) could likely be my grandmother's sisters. She did have brothers named Sam and Philip, and I have pictures of them and another brother, Frank. Guiseppina would be a family name and Celia sounds familiar. I'll ask my mom. Do you have any approximate dates? What was the name of the ship and the date it came over? I hope we are tracking the same family, since I'm having a very difficult time. The Battaglias disowned my grandmother in 1917 and she had little memory of her family when I spoke with her in 1994. It was such a shame, but Sicilians are nothing if not vengeful when they feel they are wronged. She refused to marry the man her father had promised her to and eloped with a German (Louis Mayer) to Fall River, MA when she was only 16.
I will let you know if my mother or one of my aunts can remember anything.
