My grandfather, Joseph Solomon Hopper, was a brother of Mary E. Hopper Batson. I have been corresponding with a Wayne Batson, who is a grandson of Franklin A. and Mary Batson. Info he sent me is F. A. & Mary E. had five children: Elmer (could be William E.?), Henry, Roy Charles, Pearl, and Frank. (We just received these names tonight.) Wayne also stated that Elmer was killed in a coal mine sometime before 1946.

I do know that Mary's sister Laura Hopper married Franklin Asberry Batson's brother, John Winfield Batson. John was a captain in the Salvation Army and later he was director of the mission in Denison, Texas.

I have some info but don't know how much you want or need.

Bobby Hopper
