I am researching Sidney Bates of Shelby Co., AL. He was born in SC, probably Pendleton Dist., ca 1790/1800. Enlisted in the militia during the War of 1812 in Pendleton Dist. Came to AL about 1818, married Lucinda Honeycutt. He died 1849 in Shelby Co., AL. Would like to hear from anyone with information on Sidney and his parents. Marilee Cory
