Yes I have Information on Military Service of The Desendants of John and Lucinda Frederick. All From The Civil war. Johns family were Unioniest during the Civil war and for sure he had 2 sons in the Union army and A good chance of 2 more alsow being in the Union army.
1 William M. Frederick ( My great great great Grandfather) Enlisted June 1862 in Tuscumbia alabama Into company "A" 3rd Ohio Cavalry. He served through the war
2. James w. Frederick Company B 38th Ohio Infantry he died and was burried in Murfeesboro Tn.
3. Jhon E Frederick. Good chance that he to was in the 38th Ohio Infantry
4 Some say that Robert Frederick was also in the Union army ???????
I know that John M Frederick Had at least one brother Robert Houstom Frederick that was in the confederate army Company K 5th Alabama Cavalry. He was captuered and died in A POW camp in Louisville Kentucky. And His Brother Jefferson Frederick Was in The 8th Livingstons Alabama Cav CSA.
Lucinda had at least one Brther William C Bates That was also In the Union army serving in The 1st Alabama Cavalry U.S. Do you know if Lucinda and William had any other Brothers Becase there was also a John Bates that was in the same unit and on the census there was a John Bates That was listed near William c. ?
If you know of any other members of this line that served inthe civil war i would love tohear about it.
Thanks
Clifton Boyd
