Hi Glen, I too am sorry about taking so long to reply but I have been busy completing another of my lines. I do have some other questions that you might help me with about my Bate family. My line came to the states in early 1850 and I have most of that information but I do have a chart from some unknown Bate and it has proven to be correct up to this point. Do you know anything about a place called Ashby-de-la-Zouche? It seems there is some connection to my Bate line there also a Kirkland connection I have found here at the FHLibrary here in Los Angeles. It seems that my Bate connection was a Cambridge Professor and had a library of over 1200 books with 800 serviving and housed somewhere in the Cambridge area? Anyway I would appreciate your thoughts.
