In 1880 on the Washington County Census, there is a Berry Batcheldor and family with a Morgan Stephens, age 19, living with them and listed as a laborer.
Nearby are some Crabb families. Does anyone know anything about this Batcheldor family and any connection they may have had to the neighboring families, or the Bedgoods of Washington County? In other censuses this Berry Batcheldor's name is spelled a little differently so I don't know the correct spelling.
I think it is possible that the Morgan Stephens living with them is my great-grandfather John Henry Morgan Stephens. In 1881 he married my great-grandmother Mary Ann Samantha Bedgood who is listed on the next page over from this Morgan Stephens and the Batcheldor family, and Morgan Stephens is the right age to be my great-grandfather.
