We've talked before. I don't know if the 1860 Cobb Co, GA, Census would help any. It shows Pleasant Baswell, 43, Machinist, born SC married to E., 33, b. SC. Children - H.C., 12; M.L., 10; N.M., 8; J.F., 5; G.W., 2. The first 3 children are female and the last 2 male. It also shows M. Baswell, who I feel certain is Miles Baswell. He is 47, Farmer, b. SC, married to Sarah, 50, B. SC. Children - James P., 22, M; J.T., 21, M; M.B., 19, M; W.F., 18, M; M.J., 17, F; S.A., 14. F; E.T., 12, M; F.W., 7, M. The first 4 children were born in SC and the last 4 in GA.
G.W. Baswell, Pleasant's son, I found in the AL, !880, St. Clair Co. Census. It shows him 25, Farmer, b. GA, both parents b. GA, m. S.E., 22, b. GA. Children - B.W., 5, M, b. GA; Stephen, 3, M, b. GA; James, 9 mo., M, b. GA.
William Baswell, who I believe is the son of Miles, was in the same census. He was 35, m. Caroline, 35. Lou A., F, 14; Mary A, F, 12; Jesse A, M, 9; unreadable name, M, 4; and Mellissa, F, 2.
If my memory serves me correctly, I think that Miles Baswell was also found in the Franklin Co, GA Census around the mid 1800's. I can't seem to find my information, but I will keep looking.
