Bastons-Georgia, NC

I am searching for information on the ancestors of "George Baston" (my grandfather)who was born in Augusta, GA, and later moved to Asheville, NC. His father's name was Charles B. Baston who was employed as a conductor on the Central of Georgia. Charles Baston was born in Burke County, Georgia in 1850, lived in Richmond County, Georgia, died in a place called "Amos" Georgia, Burke County in 1902. (Amos, I am told, does not exist anymore.) I am Charles' great-granddaughter. Any help is greatly appreciated!
