My great-grandmother was Keturah Matilda Bastable, born May 16, 1854, in Stour Row, Dorset, England. Her father was John Bastable and her mother was Ellen Elliott, baptized May 13, 1827, in Margaret Marsh, Dorset.
Keturah's birth certificate indicates that her parents, John and Ellen, were married, but I have yet to find any other record of the marriage; nor have I found a census record of the family group. There appear to be several John Bastables born in the area around 1825. I believe it most likely that Keturah's father was John Bastable, born April 7 and baptized April 29, in Marnhull, Dorset (about a mile and a half from Stour Row and Margaret Marsh).
If that connection is made, then it connects to the following line:
(1) Edith Barnstaple, born 1665, Stalbridge, Dorset,

+Sarah (unknown), born c. 1696, Marnhull, Dorset,

(3) Robert Bastable, blacksmith, born betw. 1715 & 1718,

+Mary Salmon, baptized Aug 6, 1717, in Marnhull,

(4) Joseph Bastable, blacksmith/dairyman, baptized Jan 3,
1752, Marnhull, Dorset, married Sept 25, 1778,
Marnhull, Dorset, buried Jan 10, 1833, Marnhull,
+Mary Harding, baptized Dec 16, 1758, Marnhull, Dorset,
buried Feb 14, 1837, Marnhull, Dorset
(5) John Bastable, baptized Jan 5, 1793, Marnhull, Dorset,
married Jun 1, 1815, Marnhull, Dorset, died 1846,
+Mary Johnson, baptized Apr 27, 1794, Marnhull,
I would be interested in hearing from anyone who can extend or connect to this line. I would be especially interested in hearing from anyone who can confirm the connection between Keturah Bastable and John Bastable, of Marnhull.
