I am looking for more information on William Bassford born abt 1817 in Simonswood, Lancashire, England and married to a Alice probably before 1837 because I don't see them in the England marriage index of 1837 and later. I found the family in 1851, 1861, 1871 and Alice living with her daughter Alice's family (John Green is her husband) in the 1881. William must have died between 1871 and 1881 ( I think it was Sept 1873 in Ormskirk, Lancashire if the record I found of William Basford is him). I am a relative of Esther Greenwood Bassford born 31 Dec 1840 in Liverpool, Lancashire, England according to her death certificate (died 26 Sep 1922 in Beaverhead Co., MT, USA. She seems to fit in this family but I am not possitive. I am wondering if Greenwood was her mother's maiden name.
