Have you found any further info on William F. (or T.) the first who was married to Mary P. and living in DC in 1860?
(hard to read the census if it is a F. or a T., Your William may be a junior? My ancestor was James F. BASSFORD who was also his son. He married Eliza Hancock and their daughter Rosetta BASSFORD married Charles F. (Fred) BUCKLER in St. Mary's Co. She was my great grandma. One of her daughter's also married a HERBERT so I know this is probably the same family. Please let me know if you have found Mary P.'s maiden name or any more info on William, Sr. or who his parents were. Thanks.
