Simple answer to your question is yes. Here are William Bassett's children: William Bassett m. ? [would love this info if you have it] William Bassett m. Anne? AM hung up on locating my Richardson and Sullivan Ancestors at the moment. However these are questions I would like to resolve with William, son of Thomas I married to Mary ? Dates of both Williams marriages? Believe William's 2nd wife Anne to be mother of Anne Bassett m. Charles Bostick as it does not seem likely that William and the first Mrs. William Bassett would have named 2 daughters Anne. Appreciate anything you might provide to fill in the blanks. Am ggg-grandaughter of Lucinda Bassett m. John Richardson June 5, 1811 at McIntosh Bluff, Washington Co. AL [Mississippi Territory at the time]. Lucinda Bassett is daughter of Thomas Bassett V. Thomas Bassett IV came to Mississippi Territory in the 1770s with spouse Lucy and two sons, Nathaniel and Thomas V. He was receipient of two Crown Grants, a 750 acre tract at McIntosh Bluff and 1,050 acres near St. Stephens on the Tombigbee River. This tract is on the Wash. Co. side of the River and is near present day Leroy, Washington Co., AL. Much is written of the families and their contribution to settling Colonial Washington County and establishing the seat of government there.
