I am the grand-daughter of Robert Raymond Bassett, who's father is Ernest Arthur Bassett. Ernest was said to once be an officer with the Los Angeles Police Department. He died in 1933 after shooting his girlfriend her lover and himself. He was born in 1898 of Jim Bassett, of England. I've had a very difficult time finding out any more about him and his ancestors.
