After considerable time in searching I have finally connected my 2ggrandmother Joanna Bassett to her daughter Sarah Jane Tompkins age 2 m ggrandmother. I found them together in the Westchester Co NY 1850 Federal census with husband and father Searing Tompkins. I had found them in the 1860 census along with Caroline, but Sarah was listed as S.F. Tompkins male age 13.
Now the questions is: Who are Joanna Bassett's parents and sibling.
Interesting isn't it, that when you answer won question you have more to answer
