Seeking possible connection to Barnwell SC Bassetts. John Mitchell Bassett was in Mason Co. GA census 1850 age 8, father evidently deceased..mother Eliza age 50 b. GA. siblings Amanda 14, William 16, Henry 11. By 1870 census John Mitchell Bassett age 28, in Neshoba Co. MS living with (bro?) William L. age 34. John Mitchell Bassett;s ch: Sally Ann, James B., Wm. Napoleon, John Alsia, Henry A., Mary Lucy & Frances Cordelia. This family was small in statue .
