THIRD GENERATION
87B11. Edward Basset, son of William Bassett
Edward Bassett, son of William and Jane (Pelham) Bassett, was born 12 May 1821 (ECR) in England. He died 6 Apr 1903 (ECR) in Bassett Valley, Nebraska. He married (1) Sarah Ann Mortimore, daughter of John F. and Sarah (Teager) Mortimore, on 23 Aug 1847 in Farmer Towship, Defiance County, Ohio. She died when John was born. He married (2) Elizabeth Betsy Mortimore, sister of Sarah, on 17 Feb 1852 in Ohio. Betsey died in 1913. Edward and Elizabeth are both buried in the Eclipse Cemetery in Nebraska.
