Andress of 2774 Joseph Bassett, a fifth generation descendant of William Bassett of the Fortune, 1621, was the son of Joseph and Judith (Leonard) Bassett, born about 1760 in Taunton, Massachusetts. He died 5 Nov 1822 in Vevay, Indiana. He married (1) Lydia Jones (2) Elizabeth Taylor (3) Mary Milligan who was mother of Mary Milligan Bassett, born in 1809. Joseph was a Revolutionary War soldier from Taunton, Massachusetts.
