From my research, and the research of others that I ahve read, William Bassett (1595?-1676) was first married to Cecelia Light/Lecht, then betrothed to Margaret Oldham who died in the Netherlands before they were married, then he married Elizabeth ________ probably in the Netherland, and finally he married Mary Tilden Lapham about 1650. Her fatner wa Nathaniel Tilden and she was the widow of Thomas Lapham. Thomas Lapham did not die until after about 1650. Elizabeth is the mother of all the children of William Bassett not Elizabeth Tilden. More detail can be provided latter as I am writing this form my work without the detailed infromation with me.
