I believe that the Charlotte Powers you mentioned was born about 1814 and married David Brown. They were married about 1840 in Groton, NY and had their first son Sevellon Alden Brown while living in Groton. They then moved to Aurelius, Cayuga County, NY where Charlotte Powers was a teacher and David Brown was a shoe maker. David Brown was from Springfield, PA and was born about 1813.
Charlotte Powers Brown died in 1901 and is buried in the Lakeview Cemetery in Aurelius, Cayuga County, NY along with her husband and 4 children.
I have the obituary of Anthony Covert who was married to Samantha Powers, a brother of John I. Powers and daughter of Jacob Powers and Roba Taber.
