I also am descended from the Bassetts in Milford, New Haven Co. CT. My line is as follows: Thomas Bassett, Sr., b. 1598 in England, d. 1668 in Fairfield Co. CT, mar. Joanna Beardsley abt. 1634. Their son: Thomas Bassett, Jr., b. 10/10/1650 in Fairfield Co. CT, d. bef 1737 in Milford, New Haven Co. CT, mar. Sarah Baldwin abt 1685 who was born 3/29/1668 in Milford, New Haven Co. CT. Their son: Josiah Bassett b. 1685 in Stratford, New Haven Co. CT, mar. Alice Canfield. I am looking for the English ancestors of Thomas Bassett Sr.
