My grandmother, Helen Myrick Bassett Fulcher was born on Kildee Hill in Harwich, Ma Feb 4, 1920. Her father, Ralph was born in North Chatham in the late 1890's. His father amd mother were Bartlett and Mary (Mamie) Rogers. From Bartlett, the fathers names going back generations were Stephen, Josiah, John, Samuel, Nathaniel, Nathan (one of first settlers in Chatham), Nathaniel, William Basset (Fortune, 1621) Bartlett's house( Isaiah Ryder House c.1740) still stands at corner of Rt.28 and Fox Hill Rd and Nathan's house stands in NW Chatham near Harwich. The house who belongs to a friend of mine is supposedly haunted by "gentle" ghosts, probably those of Nathan and Mary (Crow).
