Dear Bob,

I have recently found out some of the siblings of William Bassett (b. 1572). It seems that he may have had a brother John Thomas, joseph, Oliver and also a Peter.
I am assuming that all are children of Walter and Sconsolate Fanshawe. My source is a Nancy de Rosa, who compiled the records for a book entitled Colonial Families of America Vol. 4 pg. 200. So, it is VERY possible your John was a brother although he must have come to Plymouth on a different ship (or to an entirely different location altogether!).

Valerie
