First, no one has previously stated with any certainty who was the father of William Bassett of the Fortune. Secondly, no one has ever suggested that the wife of William Bassett and mother of Nathaniel Bassett was Margaret Forhotten. William Bassett was married three times as I recall but never to a Margaret. He was betrothed to Margaret Oldham but she died before they married. Notify Administrator about this message?
